One of a kind show piece from China!! Chinese petrified wood is not particularly common or often seen on the market, and one this gorgeous is particularly rare. We've lapped and polished it to a mirror perfect finish to show off that brilliant color in this ancient conifer. 13 1/2" x 11 1/2", 0.43" thick - PRICE:$395

Extra large exotic and rarely seen Chinese conifer. Difficult to photograph well but spectacular in person, we may be the only source of these exceptional rounds in the Western Hemisphere. It's taken us almost a year to get our larger logs shipped here! The Chinese admire petrified wood but do not cut and polish it as western collectors do. I obtained these logs on a visit there and am very pleased to offer them to our collector friends at prices far below the exhorbitant prices the few Chinese pieces I'd seen have sold for in the US. And the quality of these specimens is far superior! The colorful agate veins in this wood make it all the more attractive, but the finely detailed wood grain is what really carries the presentation. Excellent wood preservation, gorgeous colors and a mirror finish - Museum grade round all the way! It's so mirror polished that the dark surface acts like a mirror so you see a lot of me reflecting in the face! 19 1/2" x 14" wide - PRICE:$429 - SOLD - Heel cut from this log now available!

Classic woodworthia round in perfect detail. These logs are found in Zimbabwe, Africa! The greenish color and accents are unique to this region. Most people rarely see a properly prepared specimen from this part of the world and are often left with the impression that the wood doesn't polish well, but this one is properly finished to our trademark mirror polish and is absolute lovely. This one even has a double heart! 4 3/4" wide - PRICE:$42

Mysterious fossilized wood or other plant from Zimbabwe. This is the one and only log of this material that I have ever seen and I'm still trying to identify what sort of plant it was. It shows distinct wood structure under magnification in the mint green zone. Speculation has ranged from calamites (horsetail) to a hollow log! It's gorgeous whatever it is and the color is simply unprecedented in any petrified wood I've ever seen. I'm quite certain you won't see another like this! 6 1/2" wide - PRICE:$135

Petrified araucaria from Zimbabwe, AFrica. Nice color and an even better polish in this uncommonly seen petrified wood. 5 3/8" wide - PRICE:$45

Petrified laurel tree from Eden Valley, Wyoming. This is a particularly rare find - it was located in an obscure corner of the valley and only a small amount was found, but the fossil and agate preservation are both exceptional. The large holes appear to be massive insect boring tunnels that invaded several inches of the log. Second photo shows micro-image of pore structure - just an amazing fossil! 9" - PRICE:$119

Petrified beech tree from Eden Valley, Wyoming. This is one of the rarest petrified woods found in Wyoming. It too was dug in an obscure corner of the valley and only a small amount was found, but the fossil and agate preservation are both exceptional. Blue Forest, Wyoming. The very best of the namesake blue agate in a gorgeous round from this famous petrified forest. 5 3/8" - PRICE:$49

One of the finest smaller Blue Forest petrified wood specimens I've seen. Look at that wood grain and all of those incredible insect borings! And it's completely framed and infused with translucent agate. A true collection center piece that features lots of nice boring insect trails. 3 1/2" - PRICE:$55
